Hailing from rural Maine, Chloe is the youngest woman ever to serve in the Maine State Senate, at 28 years old. She was elected in 2020 after unseating a two-term Republican incumbent and (former) Senate Minority Leader. In 2018, she served in the Maine House of Representatives after becoming the first Democrat to win a rural conservative district. She also received an honors degree from Harvard College, where she co-founded Divest Harvard. She is also the Co-Founder/Advisor at JustME for JustUS, a Maine-based organization focused on rural youth civic engagement and climate justice. She is the Co-Founder, alongside Canyon, of Dirtroad Organizing, a new non-profit dedicated to rural organizing. Chloe runs Begin Again Farm with her partner in Maine.
Canyon was born, raised, and homeschooled in the Appalachian Mountains of rural North Carolina and the North Cascades of Washington. He was the campaign manager for Chloe Maxmin’s successful 2018 and 2020 campaigns. He was previously regional field director for Bernie Sanders 2016, field director for Jane Hipps for NC Senate, and vice chair of the NC District 11 Democrats. He earned an honors degree in social studies from Harvard College, where the bulk of his education took place outside of the classroom co- coordinating (with Chloe) Divest Harvard, a 70,000+person movement that succeeded in pressuring Harvard to divest its $53 billion endowment from fossil fuels. He is also an avid trail runner. He is the Co-Founder of Dirtroad Organizing, a new non profit dedicated to rural organizing.

The story behind this local brewery
Our brewmaster, Nate Underwood, starting homebrewing after finishing college back in 2012. He quickly brought his passion for local agriculture into his brewing style. Cameron, Matt, and Tyler joined Nate to form Harding House Brewing Co. with the intention of opening up a taproom-focused, hyper-local brewery. After identifying several neighborhoods to open the brewery, we zeroed in on The Nations neighborhood in West Nashville, TN. We are excited to join those before us who paved the way for local craft beer.
The Name: Harding House Brewing Co.
Our name traces its roots back to the nickname given to a house on Harding Place here in Nashville where Nate lived after graduating from college. It is also the place where the inspiration for this brewery originated. Throughout the development process of the brewery, many things changed, but the name remained constant. To the people now involved with Harding House Brewing Co., the name represents more than a single location on a map or a single group of individuals. It represents a growing community seeking to affirm the good things in life over a pint.
Matt and Keaton came together in the fall of 2021 with a vision for the endless possibilities of what Maypop could be. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
Maypop's success thrives on community bonds. From collaborating with local businesses to produce unique products to supporting causes like the Cumberland River Compact, Matt and Keaton cherish their daily interactions, demonstrating their strong ties in Nashville.
